Baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality. It is the expression of a heart that is sold out for Jesus. As we go under the water, we take every identity we’ve been given with us: gender, race, culture, etc. but when we rise, we leave all of those under the water and rise to say, “The only identity that clings to me now is my identity as a child of God.” So watch as we celebrate this new life with others on New Life Sunday.
