Fear Not: For You Are Worthy in Christ

Fear is a constant companion in the modern age.  We fear COVID, we fear the government, we fear each other, we fear what’s next. It has been rightly said that we live in an age of anxiety. We are worried for our marriages, kids, jobs, callings, health, and that’s just before lunch.  The people of the first Christmas had many things to fear as well, but in the midst of all their fears, God sent angels to tell them to “fear not”.  This message was not just for those of the first Christmas, but it is for us today.  Join us this Christmas season as we are reminded to “fear not”, because God is on the move.

Tell Me More- About the History of Israel and Jesus

This week we take a look at the "boring history" that Alex cut from his sermon on Sunday. We talk through the time between the New Testament and the Old and how that created the political realities of Jesus' day.  We also look at how the genealogy in Matthew 1 is literally an outline of the family of God both in a literal and symbolic sense.

A New Way to Be Human: Our Father

In this past year we have seen the dark side of humanity on display, and it has left many of us feeling hopeless. The pressures of COVID, the 2020 election, social isolation, racial violence and the normal stresses of life have brought out the worst in most of us. It has left us thinking, “there has got to be a better way”. A better way to communicate. A better way to work through differences. A better way to do relationships. A better way to discern truth. A better way to be human. The good news is that there is a better way…there’s a new way to be human. In the Sermon in the Mount, Jesus lays out the blueprint for how we are meant to do life alone, together and with Him. He doesn’t just give us a better way, but a new way to be human. Join us as we walk through the Sermon on the Mount as we learn how to flourish as the people God created us to be.
